Joshua Tree Girls Weekend

A few weeks back, the core girls of Fast Babes went on a trip through Utah and had an absolute blast. After returning home, they started to talk about “the next trip….” And that’s when the idea to put together a word-of-mouth, under the radar, open invite, girls only moto camping trip came to life. With so many things canceled, and after spending months cooped up during COVID lockdowns, this was a much-needed opportunity to spend quality time with friends you’ve missed and get out of the house and ride your motorcycle.

As the idea gained momentum we did some research and came across an amazing location, started telling our friends, who then told their friends and fast forward a few weeks and we had 46 women coming to hang out with us in Joshua Tree. As the date quickly approached, things started to fall into place, and we were setting up for an epic weekend. Some amazing companies stepped up to provide some bad ass prizes we were able to share with the girls that we are so grateful for.

After a late night of last-minute preparation and packing goody bags at midnight, the day finally came.  Girls rode in from all over Southern California (and even a few from Nor Cal) to spend a weekend together. We kicked off the weekend with a taco bar and a surprisingly intense corn-hole tournament with a pair of Lexin FT4 Pros on the line for the winning team.

Saturday morning some girls rode over to Quaid Harley-Davidson for the first ever Fast Babes group ride up to Big Bear. Other girls opted to ride through the park or do one of the many amazing routes around Joshua Tree. Everyone regrouped and we met back up at Quaid for the Moto Fam raffle. So many companies stepped up and donated some seriously amazing prizes. By the end of the day, we were able to raise $750 for Moto Fam.

As the girls returned to camp, we had some yummy pizza and spent time around the campfire getting to know each girl that came out. Stories were shared and new memories were made. Then we blinked and it was Sunday morning - time to hit the road and go home. Camps were broken down, bikes were packed back up, and goodbyes said.

We had such a blast organizing this. We were so stoked to see girls riding with other girls they had just met as if they had been wind sisters for years. This was all we wanted. No drama, no bullshit, no cliques…just women supporting women with a common love for two wheels. This solidified “Fast Babes” and we are so excited to see what this grows into. Stay tuned for more rides and mini-camp out! We have so much exciting stuff in the works for 2021!
