Ciara is based in the New England area and rides a 2017 Dyna Street Bob. She is a dog mom to three super cute rescue pups. She’ll be traveling to some of the staple east coast motorcycle events, so if your see her out and about say hi!
Where did you grow up and where do you currently reside?
Vermont born, raised and residing!
How did you initially get involved with motorcycles?
My husband had always wanted a Harley, when he found one I decided that I wanted to learn how to ride. So I went out and bought my first motorcycle without ever riding or riding on one. I wanted to do something I had never done before!
When did you get your first bike and what was it?
I bought a 1997 Sportster 1200 XL custom 4 years ago.
What do you currently ride and why?
A 2017 Dyna Street Bob. When I first got into motorcycles I saw a navy blue one at my local dealership and fell in love with it, I had always said it was my “dream bike”. The Dyna is so versatile, there are so many options to customize it and transform it into whatever you like.
What is your happiest memory that involves motorcycles?
The happiest memories I’ve made have been going on trips with my friends. It doesn’t get any better than sharing the open road and a common love for motorcycles with others. We always have a good time.
Outside of motorcycles, tell us a little about yourself?
I am a self employed small business owner, married with 3 rescue dogs (all of various bully breeds).
How have you become a more confident rider? Things you’ve done to help you gain confidence?
The number one thing that made me a more confident rider was to just ride. Practice, practice, practice. You can buy a brand new bike or aftermarket accessories to make you more comfortable but what you can’t buy is experience. That is truly the key. Get out there with people you trust and and then go out on your own and do your thing! Relax and don’t be afraid to ask questions or ask for help.
What is your dream trip/bucket list ride(s)?
Tail of the Dragon, Sturgis, California… I have a long list!
How do you think motorcycles have changed your life?
Riding a motorcycle has given me an identity, I think I was made for it. It’s given me a boost in confidence, I can do anything if I set my mind to it. Above all, I’ve met some pretty awesome people because of motorcycles.
Do you have any upcoming motorcycle trips/rides planned?
Yes! Daytona bike week, Laconia Bike week and a bunch of riding in between.
