Nicole recently joined us on our trip out to Death Valley. It was her first moto camping trip and we are so glad she came! She works at Red Rock Harley-Davidson, so if you’re ever passing through Vegas, stop and say hi!

Where did you grow up and where do you currently reside?Born and raised in upstate, NY. Currently living in Las Vegas.

How did you initially get involved with motorcycles? My dad put me on the back of his Harley when I was little. Always had a passion for two wheels, especially Harley-Davidson.

When did you get your first bike and what was it? December 31st 2019 - my new year’s gift to myself. The 2020 Street Bob.

What do you currently ride and why? The Street Bob. I went back and forth for a while, if I should get the Iron 883 or Street Bob as my first bike, but I’m so glad I went with the softail. I wanted something I’d have for a while if I was already putting the money in it and something that would take me on long adventures. I’m so glad I went with the Street Bob, I love my bike so much!

What is your happiest memory that involves motorcycles? Working at Harley-Davidson and being involved in the motorcycle community. I do marketing for Red Rock Harley-Davidson. I’m so grateful for my job every day. The people I get to meet through working here are lifetime friends that feel like family. Mixing passion and work is something I’ve always taken to heart.

Outside of motorcycles, tell us a little about yourself? When I’m not working at Harley, I’m making jewelry in my workshop at home. I own my own jewelry business - @nikdreamer. I’ve gone in stages with it, doing it for many years full time and then taking part-time breaks. Collecting gemstones and creating ways to wear them has always been a hobby of mine which turned into a business when I moved out to Las Vegas in 2011. I love traveling the southwest to source all my stones, that’s the best part of the process. My shop site is www.nikdreamer.com if you’d like to see moreJ

How have you become a more confident rider? Things you’ve done to help you gain confidence? It’s taken a little over a year to build my confidence on my bike. I would say just in these past couple months I’ve gained confidence. I would say that the thing that helps is just getting out riding more. I’ve been riding almost every day in past months even if it’s just to work and home. Also getting riding in with training mentors and skilled riders has helped a lot. They’ve all shared little techniques with me along the way that has helped so much.

What is your dream trip/bucket list ride(s)? I’d love to ride up the Pacific Coast Highway. I’ve done that trip once in a car, but I can’t imagine doing it on my bike!! The dream.

How do you think motorcycles have changed your life? I’ve always been on the back of motorcycles for most of my life, but being on the front is a whole new experience that is hard to put in words. I know people always say motorcycles are a great way to relieve stress and find your meditative state. I never got it until now. When you’re riding there’s no other worries or thoughts in your mind. Just you and your ride.

Do you have any upcoming motorcycle trips/rides planned? My next trip is coming up in a few weeks to Durango, Colorado for the In-Cahoots Moto. Campout. I custom ordered my first sissy bar and it’s on the way! Can’t wait to load up my bike for this trip. Will by my longest adventure to date!
